Number of firefighters in Utah seeking mental health support doubles

Mental health continues to be a growing concern among first responders. Molly Doyle never knows when that call is going to come. None of them do. It's the nature of being a firefighter. "My job is to drive the engine to whatever call that is," said Doyle, who is a firefighter with the Unified Fire Authority.

Three-alarm fire destroys Auburn apartments

VIDEO/PHOTOS: Officials are trying to find out what caused a destructive three-alarm fire. The fire broke out Sunday night in the 1600 block of 8th Street Northeast. Now, nearly 100 at the River Crest Apartments are without a home. We did just get a closer look at the damage. Several cars parked next to the building burned up.

Search continues for Seattle Fire Department deputy chief missing in Eastern Washington

First responders in Central Washington are working to find Seattle Fire Department Deputy Chief Jay Schreckengost, who is missing in Kittitas County. Schreckengost was last seen at the Squaw Rock RV Resort and Campground in Naches, where he stayed to go hunting, according to family. Now there is a race against Mother Nature as bad weather on the way could hinder search efforts.

Clark County Fire District 6 celebrates winning Excellence Award

Fire District 6 recently won the Washington Fire Commissioners Association Management Excellence Award. It’s given to the district that judges deem performed best in operations, logistics, finances, public outreach and more. The judges are not in the fire service, rather they are professionals from other public and private organizations.
