Drug users and dealers who recklessly expose first responders to fentanyl and cause them to overdose will now face additional penalties thanks to a new law signed by Governor Ron DeSantis Monday. Body camera footage from August of last year, captured a Flagler County Sheriff’s Deputy suffering a suspected fentanyl overdose after handling narcotics that later tested positive for the substance.

VIDEO: The city of Spokane officially has a new fire Chief.
Spokane Mayor Lisa Brown announced Tuesday she appointed current interim chief Julie O'Berg to be the permanent Spokane Fire Department Chief. O'Berg has been serving as the interim fire chief since January 2024 and is the first woman appointed to lead the department.

A crash at a busy intersection in downtown Seattle ended with a car plowing through an array of construction scaffolding, appearing to barely miss a nearby building.
Cars passing underneath the Seattle Center Monorail were able to get through Fifth Avenue and Stewart Street Monday morning. But the leftmost lane, already blocked off for construction, became the scene of a pile of twisted wood and metal following a crash the night before.

A fire burned through several units of an under construction housing development overnight on Sunday. The Phoenix Fire Department responded to multiple homes burning at 59th Avenue and Baseline Road around 11:30 p.m. Flames could be seen from the Loop 202.
At least 75 firefighters responded to control the blaze, which was upgraded to a second-alarm at one point during the night.
