A 2-alarm house fire in Vancouver erupted Monday forcing crews to work by land, water and air to stop the flames from spreading to nearby homes. One neighbor near the fire on SE Evergreen Highway near Riverwood Court told KOIN 6 News boaters and jet skiers came to shore and hooked up hoses to help douse the flames.

Crews are working to control a brush fire near Issaquah Monday afternoon. The fire happened in a wooded area between Cedar Hills and Maple Hills, just south of Issaquah. Eastside Fire and Rescue officials said the fire spread from one to two acres, and as of 6:30 p.m. the brush was over 30 acres. The fire has burned trees and thick brush.

A family escaped a massive structure fire at the 700-block of N Road 56 near W Sylvester Rd on Monday afternoon. Citizens are urged to avoid the area as firefighters combat the spread of flames under excessive heat. According to Ben Shearer from the City of Pasco Fire Department, the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Residents voted 50-34 to purchase a tanker truck for $368,533, reports Sun Journal.

The new tanker will replace Engine 2. This truck will be able to hold 2,000 gallons of water. Another department tanker hold 1,500 gallons. The fire truck has four trucks in the fire department.

Fire officials are hoping to order the truck by the winter.

A crash involving a fire truck injured three people and closed down traffic, reports WTOL 11.

The incident involves a passenger vehicle and a fire truck. The car struck a utility pole after hitting the fire truck and two occupants had to be extricated. After the crash, firefighters began to care for the passengers in the car.

A fire official said that there is extensive damage to the fire truck.
