Coaldale Fire Department dedicated a truck to Capt. Kyle Zwiesdak who died in 2020, reports tnonline.com.

The vehicle is a 1994 Seagrave pumper and was purchased from the Christiana Fire Department in Delaware. The truck replaces a 1979 Mack pumper. It has a 1,250 gallons-per-minute pump.

A fire truck parade with about 30 fire apparatus was held as part of the dedication event.

The Mount Olive Fire Department has welcomed two brand new 2021 Pierce Enforcer fire engines, reports Goldsboro Daily News.

Both engines are equipped with a 1,500 GPM pump, a 1,000 gallon tank, and a 30 gallon foam system. These trucks will replace Mount Olive’s 2002 Engine 1 and their 1996 Engine 2.

The cost of both trucks was $1.2 million in a buy-one-get-two deal. Grant money through the USDA was used to help purchase both of these trucks.

A woman was hospitalized following a head-on crash with a West Chester fire engine, reports Fox 19.

The fire engine attempted to swerve, but the vehicles hit head-on and the fire engine ended up in a ditch. The three firefighters immediately came to the aid of the woman who was injured.

The woman was cut out of her car and taken to the hospital. The firefighters were also taken to the hospital as a precaution.
