Bardstown (KY) Fire Station Opens

Bardstown’s new fire station is officially open, reports WDRB.com.

The original fire station will still be in service but will now be considered Fire House #2. Due to COVID-19, the grand opening was delayed despite the new station being in operation since last fall.

The fire station has six bedrooms, three bathrooms, three shower rooms and a designated weight room.

The new fire station is cutting response times and will help better serve the community.

Fire destroys mobile home in Chattaroy

Fire crews put out a fire that ravaged a mobile home in Chattaroy. Officials say that just before 1 p.m., smoke and flames came out the back of the trailer. The people inside got out safely, but the trailer appears to be a total loss. The fire is under control, and for crews on-scene, the immediate goal was to contain the flames and keep them from spreading to the nearby brush.

Dallas (TX) Fire Station Being Rebuilt

Dallas Fire Station No. 19 was demolished last year and construction to rebuild the facility is expected to begin soon, reports Advocate Magazine.

The fire station was damaged during storms in 2019.

The building is planned for 8,400 square feet and is expected to cost $4 million. Among its staff is an urban search and rescue team, one of the special operations functions of Dallas Fire-Rescue.

Walla Walla garage fire causes $170,000 in damages

Best efforts from local firefighters helped prevent the further spread of a fire in a residential home on Saturday, but the homeowner is left to pick up the pieces of an estimated $170,000 in damages. Train suspected of starting Lind Fire

Sunday’s sweeping brush fire that burned dangerously close to homes in Lind is believed to have been caused by a passing train. iFIBER ONE News spoke to Adams County Fire Chief Kevin Starring who says there had been some reports about a train car that had caught fire sending embers onto the surrounding area.
