Work on Two New Malvern (AR) Stations Moving According to Plan

Construction for a pair of new fire stations in Malvern (AR) is moving along swiftly, reports malvern-online.com.

First, work on the new two-story North Malvern fire station located on Moline Street continues to progress. Crews of the Moser Construction company began tearing down the former station in March.

Next, the Lono-Rolla Volunteer Fire Department is currently in the process of building a new station on Sulphur Springs Road, which officials say is still in its process of completion.

Johns Creek (GA) Fire Department to Resume Hosting Station Visits

The Johns Creek (GA) Fire Department is ready to host station visits again.

Interested parties can fill out a request form here, though they’re to be made no more than 30 days in advance.

When requesting a visit, one must pick between one of the four stations, date, time, and the number and age range of people expected.

3 Ohio Firefighters Injured in Crash

Three firefighters were injured after their engine was hit by a vehicle in Pataskala (OH) Saturday afternoon, reports 10tv.com. Police officials say the three were taken to the hospital, though their conditions are not known.

The woman driving the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital.

The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. on East Broad Street and Summit Road as the pumper was responding to another call.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.

Lower Valley (CO) Fire Protection District Receives New Engine

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) recently transferred an engine to the Lower Valley (CO) Fire Protection District (LVFPD), reports kjct8.com.

LVFPD was awarded the apparatus after applying for it under the BLM’s Rural Fire Readiness program to enhance its wildland firefighting capabilities.

3 Dead After Crash with Apparatus in WA

Three people riding in a car died Monday in a crash involving fire apparatus north of Spokane (WA), reports theintelligencer.com.

Officials say the crash happened Monday afternoon on 395 North at Grote Road, near Loon Lake, and added that no other life-threatening injuries were reported.

No further information was immediately released.
