East Las Vegas (NV) Station 61 Up and Running

After officials Monday cut a fire hose in lieu of a ribbon, Station 61 was up and running in East Las Vegas (NV), according to a report on news3lv.com.

Instead of a tour through the facility, firefighters offered the community 250 COVID-19 shots.

The Nellis Boulevard-located Station 61 replaces a fire station that stood in the same spot since 1979; from soup to nuts, the station cost about $7.2 million and took three years to complete.
