Town Council authorized a recent purchase of a ladder truck and fire engine by transferring $1.77 million from Weymouth’s stabilization account. The Council approved a transfer of $673,761 from Weymouth’s “free cash,” or undesignated fund account to purchase an additional fire engine in April 2020.

The new fire apparatus will help bolster safety efforts and the purchase of the vehicles was made because of proper fiscal management by his administration team.
