A Twin Cities company is doing something that hasn't been done anywhere else in the country, and it's all to take better care of our first responders.
Emergency Technical Decon (ETD) uses a new cleaning process using liquified carbon dioxide to get rid of toxins from gear that firefighters wear, including boots, leather gloves, jackets and helmets.

A new nationwide pilot program is putting doctors inside ambulances virtually. The MetroHealth System has partnered with three EMS agencies that provide emergency care to bring virtual care via video visits with a doctor in the back of an ambulance.
The Emergency Triage, Treat and Transport (ET3) agreement between MetroHealth, the Brecksville Fire Department, Life Care Ambulance and North Central EMS, is designed to offer more focused care for patients who call 911.

A suspected arsonist has been arrested after a fire was discovered at a Tacoma's Gray Middle School early Tuesday morning.
Police had been called to the nearby STAR Center just before 4:30 a.m. on an unrelated call for a stolen car in the parking lot. As officers were on scene, they spotted flames coming from the school.

Firefighters from the Spokane area rescued a worker on Monday who slipped and fell while inside a grain elevator.
The man was getting ready to receive a delivery when he fell approximately 19 feet, Spokane Valley Fire Department spokesperson Julie Happy said in a press release. It happened in the area of Alki Avenue and Fancher Road.
