PHOTO: A new Type 1 structure fire engine made its way to Benton County Fire District #1.
This engine will be replacing a nearly 20-year-old engine. Engine 1114 was originally ordered in April 2022 from a manufacturer in Oregon.
The new engine was just over half a million dollars, sitting at $672,000.

Crews with the Spokane Fire Department knocked down a fire at the Sparky's Subs Monday morning.
The fire started just before 2 a.m. on East Mission Ave. and North Haven St.
An SFD fire official confirmed that the fire was found above an electrical box on the outside of the building, but are still working to confirm the exact cause of the fire.

PHOTOS: Nine firefighters are injured, including two who are in critical condition, following an explosion in Los Angeles, according to the LA Fire Department.
The blast occurred six minutes after 10 firefighters arrived on scene responding to a semi-truck on fire early Thursday, the department said.
