The Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest announced Tuesday that this fall, firefighters across Central Washington will once again be using fire to help restore watersheds and better protect nearby communities. Just over 3,500 acres of prescribed burning is planned when favorable weather conditions set in.

A man died in a mobile home fire in Lynnwood Tuesday night in the 3800 block of 164th Street Southwest, according to South County Fire. In May, doctors announced they were seeing a new and rare coronavirus complication in children. Now, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta warns, it’s appearing in adults, too. Called MIS-C, which stands for Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children, the complication manifests roughly two to four weeks after a coronavirus infection.
