A 9-year-old boy is injured after a real Christmas tree in his family's apartment caught fire. The fire department says the fire was caused by incense which was burning too close to the family's real Christmas tree. The fire happened on Spokane's South Hill near 51st and Regal. The father of the boy tells KHQ that he ran to Walmart, leaving his wife and two kids at the apartment.

The Chicago Police Department released stunning surveillance footage Monday showing the moments leading up to and following the fatal shooting of a retired fire lieutenant in the city's Beverly Woods neighborhood. VIDEO: One person was taken to the hospital after police said someone opened fire Monday morning in southwest Charlotte, hitting a fire truck and two other vehicles. The shots rang out around 9:20 a.m. close to a 7-Eleven near the intersection of Clanton Road and Barringer Drive. Police said bullets hit a fire truck but no CFD firefighters were injured.
