Vancouver: Firefighters attack attic fire at house in Five Corners

Vancouver firefighters saved a house after quickly extinguishing an attic fire Friday evening in the Five Corners area. Crews were dispatched shortly before 6:30 p.m. to 8401 N.E. 108th Ave., for a structure fire. A total of five fire engines, a ladder truck, a chaplain, a rehab bus and two battalion chiefs responded.

Louisiana: Chemical fire reported at plant near Lake Charles, part of I-10 closed

VIDEOS: A fire has broken out in the Westlake, Louisiana, area, causing gases and smoke to plume over I-10. The Louisiana State Police Emergency Services Unit confirmed the fire involved a chlorine leak at the BioLab plant in Westlake. They are coordinating with plant managers to contain the leak, officials said.

California fire chief asks citizens to follow COVID-19 guidelines after personal loss

In a video made by Murrieta Fire & Rescue Chief David Lantzer told citizens there’s a significant urge to wear masks and follow guidelines, after one of his family members died of COVID-19 recently. “The individual I was talking about in the video was my brother-in-law,” Lantzer said. “He got COVID-19.
