A structure fire is burning on the 1100 block of East Boone in Spokane Valley. East Boone is blocked by first responders Firefighters say a 2 story duplex caught fire. The fire started on the back porch and then moved inside and caught the home one fire. Four adults, one child and one cat lived in the home.

PHOTOS: The Lorenzo Volunteer Fire Department accepted a $16,300 grant through the Rural Volunteer Fire Department Assistance Program to help convert an excess military Stewart Stevenson truck into a firefighting vehicle. The Texas A&M Forest Service administers the assistance program and the Department of Defense Firefighter Property Program, which awarded Lorenzo VFD with the truck.
