Five people were evaluated by medics after being exposed to toxic fumes at a construction site Monday morning, officials said.
Seattle fire crews responded to the 10300 block of Meridian Ave. North around 11 a.m. to reports of fumes in part of a building undergoing construction.
The building area was evacuated and five people with minor symptoms were evaluated.

In early June the Fall City Fire Department – King County Fire District No. 27 – announced it would be putting a measure requesting voter approval of an excess levy on the November 3rd general election ballot.
Fire District Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to adopt Resolution 2020-01, requesting that King County Elections submit a Maintenance & Operations (M&O) levy to Fall City voters – who last year rejected a ballot measure to merge the district with Fire District 10 and make the Fall City Fire Department part of Eastside Fire & Rescue.

The boom is returning to Boom City in Tulalip despite concerns over COVID-19, with fireworks stands opening for business on Friday.
Some vendors were unloading boxes of fireworks by the pallet-load on Monday and putting them in their storage trailers. Others were simply checking out their stands and getting ready to move in.

Three people were the target of gun violence this weekend while inside the protest zone in Capitol Hill called CHOP. One teenager died from his injuries.
After the violence over the weekend, elected leaders and first-responders warn dispatching first-aid inside the protest zone can be tricky.
While the Seattle Fire Department is used to running towards danger, a spokesperson insists exceptionally dangerous incidents like the shootings that unfolded this weekend, require department medics to first wait for police officers to first secure the scene.

The Spokane Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a person of interest in a series of early morning fires in North Spokane.
Early on Monday, June 22, officers responded to a report of fire and gunshots on East Crown. When they arrived, they found two cars on fire and small explosions coming from the fires, which they believe accounted for the reports of gunfire.
