CDC Reduces Consecutive Minutes Of COVID-19 Exposure Needed To Be A 'Close Contact'

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has changed the amount of time it would take for someone to be considered a close contact of a person with COVID-19. Previous language defined a close contact as someone who spent at least 15 minutes within 6 feet of a confirmed case. The CDC now defines a close contact as someone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for a total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period.

Spokane Fire Department report showing increase in penetrating traumas over the last 3 years

The Spokane Fire Department released a report showcasing the number of penetrating traumas recorded in Spokane over the last three years. Dog receives minor injuries after house fire in Longview

A home in Longview was damaged by a fire Tuesday evening. At around 9:42 p.m., Longview Fire crews responded to the report of a manufactured home that was on fire in the 1300 block of Baltimore Street. Firefighters arrived to the scene and found heavy smoke coming from the home. Officials said bystanders at the scene reported that the homeowners were not home, but that family pets may still be inside.

Multi Fire Arson Suspect Doused by Pasco Police

A 23-year-old Pasco resident is in the Franklin County jail facing not just arson charges, but resisting arrest and more. Josue Daniel Sepulveda-Zuniga was arrested Monday, said Pasco Police and now say he's linked to a second fire. Officer Travis Park had seen Zuniga running from the Sedona Apartments area near Marie and West 24th, after getting calls of a man in the area acting suspiciously around 1:50PM.
