Arizona leaders release FEMA model that predicts COVID-19 cases, deaths

Weeks after learning there is a federal Arizona-specific model, Arizona’s top public health official released the model in an online blog post on Tuesday. Dr. Cara Christ posting in a blog post, that FEMA has authorized them to share the models publicly. The report release May 7 has a number of graphs and data charts that are specific to Arizona.

One dead after mobile home fire in Auburn

One person died in a mobile home fire in Auburn Tuesday morning. According to Valley Regional Fire Authority, crews responded about 6:40 a.m. to report of a fire in White River Estates in the 4200 block of A Street SE. A neighbor reported the fire. Firefighters knocked down the fire quickly, but they found one adult dead inside the home.

Body of 61-year-old man recovered in waters near Moses Lake Sand Dunes

The body of a Shoreline man was recovered from the waters of Moses Lake, near the sand dunes, on Monday after the man drowned Sunday evening. Grant County Coroner Craig Morrison identified the man as 61-year-old Myong T. Kim. Kim and a friend had been camping in the Moses Lake Sand Dunes area over Memorial Day weekend, according to the sheriff’s office.
