Atlanta distillery shifts efforts by creating hand sanitizer for first responders

Amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, Old Fourth Distillery has been distributing make-shift bottles of hand sanitizer. Starting today they are shifting their efforts and giving back to those on the front lines. Co-Owner of Old Fourth Distillery Jeff Moore has been making hand sanitizer with their own in-house alcohol.

Cowlitz County agencies take steps to protect their own following battalion chief's passing

The death of Cowlitz 2 battalion chief Mickel Zainfeld has prompted local agencies and grassroots groups to boost efforts to help firefighters, police and other first responders cope with the emotional trauma of their jobs. And one way may be for both them and the public to tone down the superhero image they bear.

Three hospitalized, coffee shop a total loss after fire in Downtown Colfax

The Colfax Fire Department says a coffee shop is a total loss after a structure fire broke out on Main St., leading to one firefighter and two nearby residents being hospitalized. CFD was dispatched to the fire at the Fonk's Coffeehouse around 7 p.m. Tuesday. Fire District 11 was also paged for additional personnel.

Fire damages motorhome in Camas

Firefighters quickly extinguished a motor home fire Tuesday morning in Camas. Crews with the Camas-Washougal Fire Department were dispatched at 10:14 a.m. to the 2000 block of Northwest Douglas Street for a report of a commercial vehicle fire. Four engines and two battalion chiefs responded to the address, fire department spokesman Kevin West said.

Moses Lake firefighters to wear hazmat suits during medical calls

Moses Lake's fire department is asking the public to not fret over their staff's appearance when responding to medical calls. On Tuesday, the Grant County Sheriff's Office released a statement announcing that all MLFD emergency personnel will wear hazardous material suits when responding to all emergency medical calls.
