Pullman Fire Department hires new deputy fire marshal

The Pullman City Fire Department welcomed its new deputy fire marshal after hiring him on Jan. 29. Deputy Fire Marshal Adam Hoffman was previously employed by the City of Pullman as a building inspector. He will join the fire department team and focus primarily on fire prevention within the community.

Natural gas leak prompts evacuations in Snoqualmie

Firefighters in Snoqualmie are investigating reports of a natural gas leak this morning. Units with Eastside Fire & Rescue and the Snoqualmie Fire Department evacuated people near the 7800 block of Center Boulevard Southeast, across the street from the Snoqualmie Library. According to a post on X, everyone was evacuated safely and crews are working to ventilate the property.

VIDEO: Massive fire engulfs 3 homes in Georgia, forcing evacuations

Families have been forced out of their homes after a massive fire broke out early this morning in DeKalb County. DeKalb Fire crews responded just after 4 a.m. They say flames ripped through three homes on the 1000 block of Lenox Park Boulevard NE in Brookhaven. Officials say these are large single-family homes that are very close together.

FDNY busts lithium-ion battery manufacturing operation

The FDNY says it busted an illegal lithium-ion battery operation in Queens. Wilson's Electric Scooters and Sales along Queens Boulevard in Rego Park is where the FDNY says it shut down an illegal lithium-ion manufacturing operation. "Nobody teach me. They don't do nothing but take money, give me ticket," owner Wilson Chen said.
