Critical burns sent a man to a Seattle hospital after his recreational vehicle burst into flames near Browne's Addition on Saturday night.
The fire took his dog's life.
Neighbors say the RV belonged to a man named Mario Eblacas whose been an important member of the community for years. Micah Martin lives in the apartments across the street from the RV and describes Eblacas as a spiritual individual whose dog meant the world to him.

Kennewick police and firefighters worked together Saturday to quickly extinguish a cluster of trees on fire near a local business and underneath power lines.
According to a social media post by the Kennewick Police Department, an officer was out on patrol Saturday morning when they spotted arborvitaes on fire in the 700 block of West Vineyard Drive.

Kevin Leago, the trailblazing Houston firefighter with cancer who fought City Hall to provide workers compensation benefits for his illness — and won — died Thursday. He was 40.
Leago’s victory in court over city lawyers who argued his illness was unrelated to on-the-job carcinogen exposure set a precedent for dozens of current and retired Houston firefighters stricken with cancer, Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association President Marty Lancton said.

But the Rev. Dave Driesch and the Rev. Tim McGill serve a God as well as their community — meaning their pagers go off while they’re praying or leading a service.
