No one injured in Edmonds' Seaview neighborhood house fire

No one was injured in a fire that caused an estimated $100,000 damage to a home in Edmonds’ Seaview neighborhood early Monday evening. South County Fire spokesperson Leslie Hynes said the fire was reported at 5:37 p.m. in a rambler located in the 19300 block of 80th Place West. When firefighters arrived, they found flames on the front and side exterior of the home, and were able to put out the blaze in 10-15 minutes, Hynes said.

Woman injured, dog killed when travel trailer burns near Selah

A Selah woman was injured trying to save her dog from a burning travel trailer Monday afternoon, firefighters said. The fire was reported at 3:18 p.m. at 6722 N. Wenas Road, said Chief Gary Hanna of the Selah Fire Department. Firefighters arrived to find the travel trailer fully engulfed in flames and several other nearby mobile homes at risk of catching fire, Hanna said.

Philadelphia firefighters prevent disaster at ethanol storage facility with high-risk move

Firefighters jumped into action when an industrial facility went up in flames in Southwest Philadelphia on Monday night. They performed a high-risk move, shutting off a valve within feet of the flames. It happened around 6:45 p.m. at the Point Breeze Terminal located along the 6300 block of Passyunk Avenue.
