It was what firefighters described to 11 News as a typical Saturday night in November, that turned very wrong, very quickly.

Fentanyl-laced letters were sent to government buildings in six states including Oregon and Washington
The suspicious letters sent to vote centers and government buildings in six states this month were undeniably scary, some containing traces of fentanyl or white powder, accompanied by not-so-veiled threats and dubious political symbols.

A popular trend online shows people using terracotta clay pot “heaters” in an attempt to save money on heating their homes. The homemade device consists of an upside-down terracotta pot propped up over household candles.

For first responders in Kittitas County, working with their current 911 system makes their job even harder.
"We do have deputies who routinely have to deal with challenges of dealing with known dead spots," said Inspector Christopher Whitsett with the KCSO.
Kittcom says their current radio system is from the 1980's and is being held together by parts from E-Bay.
