Oklahoma fire station catches fire, destroying gear and apparatus

VIDEO: The Webbers Falls Fire Station in eastern Oklahoma caught fire Wednesday, destroying one building and all the gear inside it. "Our department is now on the ground," Webbers Falls Fire Chief Shawn Smith said. "It was heartbreaking, this is our second home, we spend a lot of time down here." Smith and other volunteer firefighters were out of town attending training for severe weather when the fire was reported before 2 P.

Virginia: A candid conversation on the challenges faced by Norfolk's first female firefighter

Fire incinerates RV in Chelan Falls

Chelan County Fire District 7 responded to a blaze early Tuesday that engulfed an RV in Chelan Falls. Fire crews were called out to the blaze on Wyoming Street just after 3:00 a.m. The older RV was situated next to an orchard near some other fruit worker barracks. Chief Mark Donnell initially told iFIBER ONE News that the RV was occupied but further intel revealed that it was vacant.

Big Climb fundraisers in Seattle postponed over coronavirus fears

The Big Climb fundraising events in Seattle have been postponed as the number of coronavirus cases continues to grow in western Washington. The first Big Climb event, in which 2,100 firefighters from 27 states and six countries race up the stairs of Columbia Tower to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, was set for March 8.
