Gov. Gavin Newsom proclaimed a State of Emergency in Los Angeles County Saturday night to help facilitate cleanup and repairs after a massive storage yard fire shut down portion of the 10 Freeway in both directions. The fire was first reported at 12:22 a.m. in the 1700 block of East 14th Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

VIDEO: Family and friends said FDNY Firefighter Billy Moon had the biggest heart. Thursday night, his widow, two young children and parents got to hear that heart again in the chest of the man who received it. Moon died after falling 20 feet during a training exercise in Brooklyn in December 2022. His wife Kristina Moon transferred him to LiveOnNY’s Donor Care Unit at NYU Langone Health.

VIDEO: A small plane crashed into a car Saturday afternoon after making an emergency landing in McKinney, city officials said. The pilot, who flew from Midland and was trying to make the emergency landing at Aero County Airport, was unable to stop the plane at the end of the runway, officials added.

Ryan Griffin thinks he may be just a little bit of an adrenaline junkie. An arson suspect is hospitalized after he was flushed out of a building by police during a standoff early Sunday. At approximately 01:17 AM, Ephrata Police Department rushed to an apartment at 31 Basin St SW following reports of a barricaded individual engaging in dangerous and destructive behavior.
