Fire Station #2 will be located at 1803 Light Farms Way near Dallas Parkway. In just three months, ground will be shifted once again, this time on FM 1385, to begin on Celina’s third station. The quick succession is due to Celina’s rapid growth, according to Fire Chief Mark Metdker. Metdker said Celina is spread over so much land area, it's difficult to cover the entire city with just one ambulance, so the new station will house a second ambulance and an additional fire engine. One of Celina FD’s two brush trucks will be moved to #2 as well.

Officials say the projects should take around 9 to 10 months, providing more protection for people living in those areas.
