Authorities say a crash took a scary turn for first responders in the west Valley when the driver involved in the crash started shooting at them.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, the shooting happened after a woman crashed her car in a desert area near Perryville Road and Olive Avenue on Sunday night.

Two Hanover firefighters and another driver were taken to the hospital after a crash early Tuesday morning, according to 9NEWS sister station KOAA.
A van was swept into a sinkhole near Old Pueblo Rd and Birdsall Rd in Fountain around 2:30 in the morning. The driver of the van left the scene but minutes later, another car was swept away, KOAA reported.

AT&T* has been actively deploying public safety's Band 14 spectrum as part of our FirstNet build. The buildout will be validated by the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet Authority) and will ultimately bring first responders the additional coverage and capacity they need. So far, Band 14 has been added to more than 2,500 sites across the country – with the process for 10,000+ more currently underway.

Area dive teams put in hours of training in a variety of underwater scenarios – strong currents, zero visibility, extreme depths, overhead obstacles and ice – to ensure that they’re prepared for the scenes they will face.
Several of those teams responded to recent calls in Cambria and Somerset counties – incidents that involved searches that lasted days and ended with the recovery of deceased individuals at Glendale Lake in Prince Gallitzin Park and at the Quemahoning Reservoir.

A brush fire burned about 100 acres and destroyed multiple vehicles near Interstate 82 between Prosser and Benton City.
The fire started near the intersection of Gibbon and Hansen Road around 11:30 a.m. on Monday, according to West Benton Fire & Rescue Capt. Brandon Bowden. Investigators say the fire started when a nearby railroad track was being repaired and something sparked.
