The Owensboro Fire Department is sharing some favorite firehouse recipes through their new Facebook cooking show called “Food on Fire.” The show gives viewers a look into the kitchens inside the fire stations.
OFD Captain Bobby Grant said since the stations are like second homes for the firefighters, they often cook most of their meals there while on the clock.

VIDEO: Personnel working at Marathon Petroleum Refinery in St. John the Baptist Parish, along with local emergency officials, responded to a chemical spill and fire at a storage tank at the company’s Garyville refinery on Friday, Aug. 25.
The spill and fire have been contained within the refinery’s property, according to the company.

VIDEO/PHOTOS: A church in Maltby, which is part of Snohomish County, appears to be a total loss after a fire early Friday morning.
When firefighters got to the Seattle Laestadian Lutheran Church on 102nd Ave SE just after 2:30 Friday morning, it was fully engulfed in flames.

VIDEO: As fires continue to burn and grow in the North Cascades, wildland firefighters who are not actively battling a fire, are preparing for what is left of fire season.
Firefighters with Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue took part in training on Thursday.
Officials with the agency said, “this class of recruits and seasoned firefighters will be certified/recertified for wildland firefighting at the end of the weeklong class.
