Fireworks safety is crucial for Yakima's Fourth of July celebrations amid dry conditions

Fourth of July is coming up and that means fireworks are going to be lighting up the sky and, although they're fun to watch, they can be dangerous. If they aren't lit off properly, they can cause severe injuries and possibly start a wildfire. So before shooting them in the air, firefighters want to make sure you're following all the safety protocols.

Helicopters and aircraft called in after Clallam County wildfire spreads to estimated 85 acres

VIDEO: A smoke investigation quickly turned into a massive wildfire in Clallam County on Saturday. Clallam County Fire District 2 reported that around 11:45 a.m., fire units were sent to investigate smoke near Joyce Access Road off Highway 101. Firefighters said the smoke was quickly upgraded to a wildfire and was at first estimated to be around three to five acres.

VIDEO: Fire tears through roof of commercial building in downtown Los Angeles

Firefighters battled a heavy fire that tore through the roof of a commercial building in downtown Los Angeles. The fire broke out at the building in the 700 block of East 9th Street between San Pedro and Crocker streets. Video captured by AIR7HD showed flames rising from the roof, spreading smoke through the area nearby.

New Jersey Fire Department 'Rescues' Memorial to 9/11 FDNY Firefighters – Delivers it Home to New York

PHOTOS: Four old FDNY aerial fire trucks were set to be scrapped and sat rusting at Camp’s salvage yard in Wayne…but one of them was special. It was a rig from FDNY Firehouse Engine 279 & Ladder 131 in the Red Hook section of Brooklyn and emblazoned on its side panel was a memorial for five firefighters who died on 9/11.
