Code 3® Launches New Multifunctional Outliner™ Perimeter Bar

Code 3®, Inc., a leading manufacturer and developer of light and sound emergency products, recenty announced the launch of the new multifunctional Outliner™ perimeter bar.

Combining power and a sleek design, Code 3’s unique Outliner perimeter bar is designed to conform to any flat, exterior surface including running boards, push pumpers, or tailgates. The Outliner is a multifunctional tool that increases the overall visibility of any marked or unmarked emergency vehicle with its capabilities to be steady burned or used as a warning light. The Outliner is waterproof IP67 rated and features a high-grade powder coated aluminum housing and sealed lightheads that prevent corrosion and water ingression.

“We’re excited about the release of the Outliner,” said Bryan Lohbeck, product manager, Code 3. “The Outliner is IP67 rated making it a reliable and resilient light for mounting on virtually any emergency vehicle regardless of the environment it may face.”

The Outliner has 10 flash patterns including the ability to dim and steady burn, providing customization for the vehicle. The Outliner is 0.625 inches in height and 2.1 inches in depth. Models are available in four lengths including: 24, 36, 60, and 72 inches. Solid and split combinations are available in blue, red, amber, or white. All models are 12VDC and feature a 55 inch connector cable. The Outliner is SAE J575 and IP67 rated. Each model comes with a five-year warranty.

Off-Duty Seattle Firefighter Pulls Man From Burning Truck on I-5 in Chehalis

An off-duty Seattle firefighter driving south on Interstate 5 Tuesday morning stopped and pulled a man from a flaming pickup truck, possibly saving his life, said Chief Ken Cardinale of the Chehalis Fire Department. “There was a hero on the scene,” he said. “He was just on his way to work and came upon the accident and the most serious injury was in the pickup truck, and the pickup truck was on fire.

Clallam County Fire District 3 considering levy lid lift

For two consecutive years, Clallam County Fire District 3’s call load has risen above 7,000 and thousands more than a few years prior. In 2017, the Sequim-area had 7,224 emergency calls with about 86-percent, or 6,187 of those Emergency Medical Service-related, or EMS, reports Fire Chief Ben Andrews.

Clallam County Fire District 3 names Firefighters of the Year

Sequim natives. Wives. Mothers. And now Firefighters of the Year. Fellow career and volunteer firefighters with Clallam County District 3 selected Stefanie Anderson, a career firefighter/paramedic, and Anaka Hughes, a volunteer firefighter/EMT, as 2017’s Firefighters of the Year. Texas firefighters sue city over civil service rules

Upset over the way the city rolled out civil service rules last fall, the union representing Arlington firefighters has now turned to the courts. In a lawsuit filed Tuesday in Tarrant County, the Arlington Professional Firefighters sued the city and named Fire Chief Don Crowson, city human resources director Kari Jo Zika and members of the city's Civil Service Commission as defendants.
