Pacific County Fire District 1 has scheduled a meeting to fill a vacancy on its board of commissioners at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at the Ocean Park station, 26109 Ridge Ave. Longtime Commissioner Greg McLeod, 79, died on Nov. 30 in Long Beach. According to his biography on the fire district’s website, McLeod had served on the three-member commission since 2007.

The body of one of two brothers found after firefighters were called to a Renton blaze earlier this month may have been laying in the yard — unreported and undiscovered — for at least two years, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office and the county’s parcel maps.
