Sheriff’s Office Looking for Armed Burglar who Targeted Terrytown (LA) Fire Station

Before fleeing, the man stopped, pulled a gun from his waistband, and pointed it at a door to an area where fire personnel were present after apparently hearing a noise, according to the JPSO.

Some of the stolen property was later found abandoned in Plaquemines Parish.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect or on any of the stolen property is asked to call Detective Craig Toups of the JPSO Burglary and Theft Section at (504) 364-5300 or contact Crimestoppers.

Student Artists Create Mural for Endwell (NY) Fire Station

Shauna Stiles, lead teacher for Maine-Endwell Middle School's art department and adviser of Art Club, has recruited several of her fellow teachers and students to create a mural for the Endwell Fire Station's fitness room.  

The process began in the summer, when members of the Endwell Fire Station asked Stiles if she would paint a mural in the station's fitness room.

Teen Non-Licensed Driver Crashes into St. Louis Fire Apparatus

Police said the car was a rental, but it was unclear why the teen was driving it. It had not been reported stolen.

The car crashed into the fire truck at the intersection of Sheridan and Glasgow avenues before 8 a.m. 

The front of the pumper truck was smashed, and the car came to rest in a grassy area. The 16-year-old driver and passenger in the car were trapped for a short time.

Aurora (IL) to Host Opening Celebration for New Fire Station

Space constraints were a major shortcoming of the 60-year-old station that wasn't designed for the larger fire apparatus of modern firefighting. Crews felt the squeeze in the building that had room to house just one fire engine.

"It was a very narrow fit," Davids said of the bay floor.

Johns Creek (GA) Puts New Fire Engine Into Service

The new engine replaces a 10-year-old unit at Station 61, to be added to the reserve fleet. Typically, engines are replaced and put in reserve every 10 years or 100,000 miles. The department currently operates three frontline engines and one reserve.
