2-alarm fire breaks out next to former cold storage facility in Puyallup

PHOTOS: A two-alarm fire broke out at a commercial building in Puyallup that’s next to a former cold storage facility that was ravaged by flames two years ago. Puyallup Police first tweeted about the fire in the area of 15th Street Southeast and East Pioneer at 7:23 a.m. Police believed the fire was actually at the site where Washington Cold Storage was once located, but we discovered the fire was actually in a building next door to it, where a meat and fish smoking business had been.

VIDEOS: Firefighters battled blaze at Maryland apartment building

PHOTOS: Prince George's County firefighters battled a three-alarm fire that broke out at an apartment building in College Park early Monday morning. The fire happened at the Wynfield Park Apartments, located at 10209 Baltimore Avenue. Officials told 7News' Maryland Bureau Chief Brad Bell that the fire started on a balcony and burned outside the building and into the attic.

'It's not something I've ever done': Seniors trapped by mudflow in California freed with help of earthmover

PHOTOS: Fourteen seniors were pulled from a Cathedral City home care facility Monday in a dramatic rescue that the city's fire chief said was unlike anything he had ever done in his 34-year career. The 14 seniors were among the 46 people who were rescued in the city after a mudflow that developed late Sunday night trapped several people in cars, homes and even a train, necessitating several rescues and leaving several people living in homes that continue to be submerged in mud.

Massachusetts firefighter, Navy veteran honored on stage during Zac Brown Band show at Fenway Park
