Monroe City Fire Chief Terry Williams has announced the temporary closure of the Forsythe Fire Station (#6), effective immediately, due to a recent report of mold in the station.
The station is expected to be re-opened and fully operational by October 23rd.
The response zone normally covered by the Forsythe Station will be covered by Olive Street, Barbados, and Breard Fire Stations until the work is complete at the Forsythe Station which may take approximately 7-10 days.
Residents living near the Forsythe Station may see a slight increase in response times during this period; however, this increase in time should be minimal.
