The public is invited to an open house Thursday, June 29th.
The old station served West Casper for more than 30 years, and a number of years before that as a volunteer station.
Casper Fire-EMS says the new station represents a great leap forward in facilities and technology. The project was slated to cost 3.4 million dollars, to be paid for with Optional One Cent Funds.

Three people were displaced after a garage sustained significant damage in a fire Tuesday morning.
Crews with the Vancouver Fire Department responded to the fire at a two-story house, 4805 N.E. 112th Circle, around 9:30 a.m., firefighter Darrin Deming said.
Crews found flames coming from the two-bay garage and pulled a line to douse the fire, Deming said.

One of Snohomish County’s rural, all-volunteer fire departments is getting a “new” engine with the help of some distant neighbors.
A 1991 Darley Pumper truck is being prepared for its future home on Hat Island. The island is in Possession Sound between Everett and Whidbey Island. It has a small year-round population as well as a number of weekend and summer homes.

Multiple agencies were working late Monday to rescue a woman and the horse she was riding after the two fell about 25 feet down a hillside near Auburn, officials said.
Valley Regional Fire tweeted that the incident happened in the 16800 block of Southeast 376th Street. Rescuers used a rope system to bring the woman up the hill, KOMO news reported.

A firefighter is dead and another is badly injured following a wreck in Lafayette County, MO.
This accident happened shortly after 6 p.m. on Monday evening. It happened on Highway E just north of Wheatley Road, which is north of Interstate 70 in Lafayette County.
The area is just south of Mayview, MO.
