Fire officials say a sporting goods store is a total loss after flames ripped through the building. The fire broke out at Liquidation Sports, a two-story building in the 1500 block of Horselake Road, around 10:40 a.m., Rick Isaacson with the Chelan County Fire District said. Crews arrived to find smoke seeping from the lower level.

Crews from Snohomish County Fire District 1 and the City of Lynnwood Friday night were able to rescue an 18-year-old man who fell into a ravine at Olympic View Drive and 180th Street Southwest. According to Fire District 1 spokeswoman Leslie Hynes, the man was about 400 feet from the road and firefighters used a rope rescue system to bring him up.

Two people died in a house fire on Wetmore Avenue in Everett on Saturday morning. Everett city officials say when they arrived at the home at about 6 a.m. it was fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters were able to contain the fire in about 30 minutes but they found two people, an elderly woman and her daughter, deceased inside the home.

A fire that broke out at a food processing plant in Kent Friday night was accidental, a Puget Sound Fire investigator says. The fire was reported around 10:50 p.m. and started in a deep fryer, Kyle Ohashi with the Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority said. Firefighters arrived to find flames reaching to the top of the two-story building.
