Follow Up: Yakima firefighter tells 'surreal' story of finding newborn outside station

KIMA spoke with the firefighter who found an abandoned baby outside a Yakima fire station for the first time since it happened on Christmas Eve. It's now become a case the Yakima Police Department is trying to solve. Joanna Albrecht says it was hard to ignore her snooze button on Christmas Eve for an early morning work-out, but she's very lucky she did.

Bremerton: Former councilman, fire commissioner Wayne Arthur Olsen dies

Wayne Arthur Olsen, a Bremerton native who would rise to run his father's sheet metal business and establish a lasting political life of his own, died Thursday from cancer. He was 78. Olsen, a 1955 graduate of Bremerton High School, followed in the footsteps of his father, Arthur, by going to work at the family sheet metal business long located near Sixth Street and Park Avenue, said his wife, Ethel.
