Amanda Swain took the latest photo of the masked firefighter holding his most provocative sign yet.
This one berated Memphis Mayor AC Wharton for speaking about the death of Memphis police officer, Sean Bolton, when retired police and firefighters have had their health care benefits slashed.
“I hate that it was pretty out there, but at the same time I think that if we get a little bit louder and a little big out there,” Swain said.

A Richland man was sentenced Wednesday to one year and three months in prison for attacking four firefighters as they tried to extinguish a small blaze in his apartment.
Nelson Aguayo was awaiting trial on that case when he slapped a nurse at Kadlec Regional Medical Center, destroyed medical equipment and spit on a Richland police officer.

Costs to battle massive, explosive wildfires have decimated the budget of the U.S. Forest Service charged with fighting the blazes, according to a new report released Wednesday.
For the first time in its 110-year history, the U.S. Forest Service says it spends more than 50% of its annual budget on firefighting at the expense of other programs to prevent the infernos.

Chester County Sheriff Alex Underwood has denied the allegations of two volunteer firefighters who were arrested after an argument-turned-scuffle with the sheriff and his top deputies in 2014 and are now claiming false arrest and malicious prosecution in a lawsuit against Underwood.
Andy Martin and Tommy Martin filed separate lawsuits against Underwood early last month alleging that Underwood and his top deputies “assaulted and battered” the Martins on the scene of a February 2014 truck crash on an icy S.
