Firefighters with the Vernon Fire Department will dedicate a new aerial on Saturday with a traditional “wet-down” ceremony, according to a report published by Patch.com.

According to the report, Tower 541 is a 2022 Pierce rear-mount aerial with a price tag of $1.1 million and will replace a 1994 model that served the town well.

The truck has many features not available when the truck it replaces was purchased nearly 30 years ago, according to the report.

The ATF says they've completed their investigation into the January 24 fire that killed three Baltimore City firefighters. It was that morning when a vacant home at 205 S. Stricker went up in flames.
