VIDEO: After dozens of reports of active shooter situations on school campuses rolled across North Carolina on Thursday, law enforcement officers issued this reminder: Any threat against a school is not simply a prank. It is a felony.
From east in little Washington to west in Brevard County, North Carolina schools were targeted by false threats and deceptive calls.

Kittitas Valley Fire & Rescue (KVFR) responded to a structure fire early Friday morning that left two buildings and a large hay pile destroyed.
KVFR says reports of flames at 6061 Vantage Highway, known as the Ellensburg Racquetball Club, were reported at about 12:30 a.m.
Crews say when they arrived at the scene, they found a fully involved structure fire.

Personnel additions and designs for fire stations headline some of the bigger expenditures for Clallam County Fire District 3 next year.
Whether or not fire commissioners will ask voters for a levy lid lift remains undecided, but it is part of the 2023 budget — tentatively up to $100,000 — along with costs involved in running a fire commissioner race, according to district documents.

Operation Candy Cane has been around for decades, with the antique fire engine driving Santa Claus through the streets of Port Angeles, handing out candy canes and collecting donations for the food bank. (Although, to be fair, PNW Mobile Detailing and the Port Angeles YMCA stepped up during the pandemic.

Clark County Fire District 3 turns 75 this year and plans to celebrate this momentous milestone with community members at its Open Houses in 2023.
