Car crashes into building in Downtown Seattle, police investigate

VIDEO: Police are investigating after a car crashed into a building in Downtown Seattle on Monday morning. The crash happened at the Times Square Building near the corner of 5th Ave. and Stewart St. According to the Seattle Fire Department (SFD), the crash involved two cars. One of the drivers, a 47-year-old man, was treated at the scene and is in stable condition.

Traffic deaths topped 40,000 last year as NHTSA looks to reduce distracted driving

More than 40,000 people were killed last year in traffic crashes, according to preliminary data released Monday, remaining above pre-pandemic levels but slightly down from their peak in 2021.
