Possible ‘electrical fire’ may have burned Issaquah family out of home

VIDEO: An Issaquah family lost everything when their house burned nearly to the ground. It happened after they called the power company to deal with an electrical short. Puget Sound Energy was on site on 245th Ave Southeast in Mirrormont near Issaquah last Saturday. That’s when the family said what appeared to be a short in the electrical system exploded into flames.

What to expect for wildfire season across the state

Wildfires are popping up across the state, and the terrain makes fighting those fires especially difficult in certain spots. Multiple fires popped up in Snohomish County over the weekend, including the Dearinger Fire in Darrington which has become a real challenge for firefighters to reach. The fire is burning on steep terrain, prompting the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to bring in helicopters to try and get the upper hand.

Body camera video shows New Jersey police officer's heroic actions as he saves couple from house fire

VIDEO: An Evesham police officer was commended for his bravery as a house fire hero after he rescued a couple from a blaze on June 16. Evesham Police Chief Walt Miller detailed the events leading up to the rescue in a news release where he applauded the swift work of Officer Kevin Long, Evesham Fire-Rescue Quint 2235 and other emergency responders.

‘Demoralizing': Firefighters' vehicles damaged during Celtics parade in Boston
