Ohio firefighter goes from losing arm to smashing weightlifting records

VIDEO: An Ohio man is proving even though his body is different, he can do what everyone else can and more. Four times a week, Mike Diehl walks into Powerstation Gym, loads up the rack, concentrates on his breathing, and engages his core while working out. He continues to push the limit with every press, pull and squat.

King County ‘hoarder’ home destroyed by fire

King County investigators are trying to determine what sparked a massive midmorning fire at a home near Burien. The plume of smoke rising from the blaze could be seen from miles away. The 8th Avenue Street property where it happened has neighbors concerned. Joe Megale says he was driving in the area when he noticed the smoke.

Crews investigating house fire in Spokane

The Spokane Fire Department (SFD) responded to an early morning house fire on east Olympic avenue early Wednesday morning. SFD crews on scene told KHQ when they arrived, they found the fire on the backside of the house extending into the attic. Crews opened the roof and were able to put out the fire.

Red Flag Warning issued for Wednesday afternoon in north central WA

A Red Flag Warning has been issued for portions of north Central Washington as strong winds are expected through the area. The Red Flag Warning will be in effect from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday for the foothills of the central Washington Cascades, according to the National Weather Service in Spokane.

Car plows into Seattle auto shop, building in shambles

VIDEO: An out-of-control vehicle plowed into an 82-year-old auto repair building, reducing part of the building to a pile of rubble. This accident happened just after 9:30 a.m. Monday in Seattle’s Roosevelt neighborhood, on the corner of Northeast 73rd Street and Roosevelt Way Northeast. The accident left the building so precarious that the Seattle Department of Transportation closed a busy offramp from Interstate 5 onto 73rd Street that locals use to drive into Roosevelt Way.
