The Bozeman Fire Department is getting ready to move to the new Public Safety Center and many of their keepsakes are getting packed up with them.
The Bozeman Fire Station downtown off of N Rouse Ave has been home to dozens of firefighters for over 60 years but as the Bozeman community continues to grow the fire station needed to expand as well.

VIDEO/PHOTOS: Members of the Springfield Fire Department (SFD) are competing on the world stage.
Several local firefighters are at the World Police and Fire Games.
According to the Springfield 37 Firefighters Union, first responders from more than 70 countries are competing in the games.
Springfield's firefighters -- Captain Bryce McCormick, Captain Eric Jaeger, Captain Phil Johnson and Captain Kainan Rinaberger -- took home third place in the team's ultimate firefighter event.

Spokane Valley Firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire that started in an RV and spread to the garage of a home near 14th and University.
The fire started in an RV and spread to the garage of a house on 14th Avenue and South University Road, according to Julie Happy, the spokesperson for Spokane Valley Fire Department (SVFD).

VIDEO: A small, single-engine Cessna 150 crashed into Puget Sound just off Seattle's Alki Beach Tuesday afternoon.
The crash occurred around 4:20 p.m.
The 66-year-old pilot reportedly swam to shore in stable condition, according to the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG). He was evaluated and taken to a hospital in a private vehicle with no reported injuries, according to the Seattle Fire Department.

Gina Anderson had finally accomplished her dreams when two separate fire departments offered her a job recently.
Two weeks later, she found out she had cancer.
The Everett Fire Department (EFD) said it interviewed Anderson and more than 30 others two months ago before offering her.
“She was ranked near the top of the civil service list, had already dedicated time and energy as a part-time firefighter, and gave an amazing interview,” EFD said in a social media post.
