One person has been arrested, and people are being let back home after a wildfire near Soap Lake on Tuesday night.
The Grant County Sheriff's Office announced that all evacuation levels were dropped at 12:30 a.m. Road 20 is now back open, and those who evacuated can reenter.
The Sheriff's Office said they arrested one person for first-degree reckless burning for causing the fire, explaining that the arrest was in the first degree because someone was seriously injured from the fire and because of the amount of lost property.

As the Pioneer Fire continues its relentless spread, local communities remain on high alert. The fire, which started on June 8, northwest of Chelan, has now engulfed 33,277 acres and is only 15% contained. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation, though human activity is suspected.
Over 732 dedicated personnel are battling the flames, utilizing an arsenal of resources, including 11 crews, four helicopters, 29 engines, 27 water tenders, and 17 pieces of heavy equipment.

The three fires burning in the Spokane area near containment after multiple days of active flames. The Columbia Basin Fire that started on July 26, has burned over 250 acres and destroyed 3 homes in the process.
Containment has reached 85% after fire crews worked to detect hotspots with infrared cameras.

VIDEOS: A dramatic video 8 News Now obtained captures a person dangling out of the second-floor window of an apartment building that was on fire.
The fire happened on Sunday night in the 3900 block of Spencer Street at the Riverbend Village Apartments near Flamingo Road.
According to the American Red Cross, Sunday’s deadly fire displaced 19 residents but that number could rise.

VIDEO: It's been five months since three first responders were killed in the line of duty in Burnsville.
Police officers Paul Elmstrand and Matthew Ruge, along with firefighter and medic Adam Finseth, were shot as they responded to a 911 call for help on Feb. 18.
There are reminders everywhere at Burnsville police headquarters; in hallways and offices; and even the garage.
