VIDEO: A small brush fire broke out at the Gorge Amphitheatre during an electronic music concert Saturday night. The Grant County Sheriff's Office says the fire was caused by pyrotechnics used during the show. The brush fire broke out in a small area adjacent to the concert venue during the last song of the set.

PHOTOS: The playground at Phantom Lake Elementary School in Bellevue burned down Saturday night, almost exactly a year after it was destroyed in a firework-related fire. With the weather heating up in the next week, it’s not a question of “if,” but rather a question of “when” wildfires will happen across the Inland Northwest. Spokane County Fire District 3 Fire Chief Cody Rohobarch says that warmer weather combined with wind leads to wildfires. “We're used to experiencing a lot of wind, and then on top of that, you find the driest timber habitat type in eastern Washington,” said Rohobarch.

The Seattle Fire Department was called to the scene shortly before 1 a.m. on July 5. Calls made to the Fire Alarm Center at 12:53 a.m. reported seeing smoke and flames erupting from the structure located on the 2900 block of Eastlake Ave.
