PHOTOS: A Baltimore City fire boat used in the 1960s is now sitting on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, offshore of Lewes and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware—and unlike many shipwrecks, it was put there on purpose.
The fire boat Mayor J. Harold Grady is the newest addition to Delaware’s artificial reef system.

VIDEO: Multiple propane tanks exploded at Kinnear Park in Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood Tuesday afternoon, leading to an emergency fire response.
At 4:38 p.m., Seattle police and fire departments responded to a report of a brush fire at 899 West Olympic Pl in Kinnear Park. A spokesperson for the Seattle Police Department said the fire is suspected to have started from either a tent or encampment, but the SPD said "this has not yet been confirmed by the Fire Marshal.

The Cougar Creek Fire, located about 23 miles southwest of Asotin near Highway 129, continues to burn in timber, grass, and brush.
The rugged rangeland, characterized by isolated pockets of timber and a mixed topography of ridgelines, benches, plateaus, and secondary drainages, presents significant challenges for firefighting efforts, say officials.

PHOTOS: A truck driver died after a tractor-trailer exploded and caught fire on Route 3 in Clifton, NJ, the Passaic County Prosecutor said.
The incident closed lanes on the highway in both directions and forced evacuations at nearby homes on Monday morning, but by the evening authorities said that westbound Route 3 had been opened.
