6 displaced by fire at Seatac apartment building

Two families were displaced after a fire damaged a Seatac apartment building. Residents of an apartment building in the 3200 block of South 176th Street were awakened Monday morning by the smell of smoke. A resident noticed the smell, a light haze in the room and charring around an electrical outlet and called maintenance, who then called 911 at 6:15 a.

Crews scramble to extinguish house fire in Renton

Investigators are on the scene of an early morning house fire in Renton on Friday. Firefighters were called to a vacant home at 14051 145th Avenue SE shortly after 4:30 a.m. Crews worked to get the fully involved fire under control, and managed to keep it from spreading to nearby homes. It is unclear what started the fire, but an investigation is underway.
