A woman was mowed down by her own car Wednesday morning at a Belfair gas station, the Mason County Sheriff's Office reports.
Deputies and medics responded to the scene, at a Chevron station along Highway 3, at about 8 a.m. after receiving reports of a pedestrian struck by a car.
A woman was found injured at the scene.

Firefighters across the Inland Northwest are trying to get ready for the summer of 2016 after two back to back record-breaking fire seasons.
They said it is time to make important preparations, especially when it comes to their volunteer force.
Fire districts across the Spokane area are putting the call out, hoping to get volunteers screened and trained in time for what could be a third severe fire season.

A man is in critical condition but two others escaped unharmed after fire destroyed a mobile home early Tuesday in Spanaway, officials said.
Firefighters and medics responded to the scene, in the 22600 block of 53rd Avenue Court East in Spanaway, at about 4:30 a.m. after receiving reports of flames and smoke coming from the home.
