Man accused of making bombs faces arson charge in Jefferson County

A Port Hadlock man who lost his left arm to a homemade bomb in June was charged Friday in Jefferson County Superior Court with first-degree arson along with two felony counts of possession of a bomb or explosive device. Jesse Thomas Taylor, 46, was also charged with possession of explosive without a license, as well as two counts of reckless endangerment.

East Wenatchee Barn Fire Kills Over a Dozen Chickens

Crews from Douglas County Fire District 2 and Chelan County Fire District 1 responded to a barn fire in the 2400 block of 4th Street Southeast in East Wenatchee Friday morning just after midnight. PIO Kay McKellar said firefighters had trouble accessing the fire, which was in the middle of an orchard.

Chickasha (OK) Fire Department Welcomes ‘The Enforcer’

The Chickasha (OK) Fire Department recently welcomed the newest member to its fleet—“The Enforcer,” reports chickashanews.com. Video of the event can be seen here.

Crew members washed the new red apparatus in front of Station 2 before it was pushed in. The report says The Enforcer will feature independent front suspension, a 1,250-gallon Waterous pump, extrication equipment, and advanced life support equipment. In addition, “The Enforcer” will be painted in gold leaf across the front.

The Enforcer’s predecessor was damaged beyond repair on July 4.
