Houston (MO) Fire Department has completed getting it’s new engine in service with a delivery of new equipment last week, according a report published by the Houston Herald.

According to the newspaper, Engine 2351 was bought through MacQueen Emergency, a Pierce dealer, in Eureka, MO for $580,000 with $435,000 coming from a US Department of Agriculture Rural Development grant and $145,000 from a one-cent sales tax.

Now that the apparatus is fully in service, it is the first due for all emergencies in the city, according to the newspaper.

Tyler (TX) Fire Department has welcomed three new apparatus into its fleet, according to a report published by Tyler Morning Telegraph.

According to the paper, the department got a new engine and two new aerials to replace older apparatus.

The paper reported the new apparatus are state-of-the-art and are designed to be safe and to better serve the citizens.

A house suffered damage after a runaway San Antonio (TX) fire truck rolled down a street, crashing into a car, utility pole, and a fence before it stopped against the house, according to report published by KSAT television station.

The station reported the truck was parked on the street near the fire station when it started to roll away with firefighters chasing after it. It happened on Stafford Street near Fire Station 5.

The truck rolled for a block with the firefighters in hot pursuit before it slammed into the house at the intersection of Benton and Stafford streets, according to KSAT.

What caused the fire truck to roll away is under investigation, the station reported.

There is no word on the condition of a pedestrian who was struck by a fire truck in Bethlehem, PA, according to a report published by WFMZ-TV 69.

According to the TV station, the crash happened on Friday morning at South New and West Third streets. The patient was taken to St. Luke’s University Hospital in Fountain Hill, Lehigh County for treatment, according to the report.

Police, who are investigating the crash, did not provide information about the pedestrian, or about whether the fire truck was responding to a call, the TV station reported.

A Flint Hill (SC) Fire Department apparatus was struck by a tractor trailer Saturday night while on the scene of a motor vehicle accident.

No firefighters, EMS, or police officers were injured, and the truck driver was treated on the scene and transported to a local hospital.

The apparatus was totaled.
