Tennessee firefighter's workouts lifting people up on TikTok

VIDEO: On most days, you can find the Chattanooga Fire Department's Lt. Michael Battle working out at the Sports Barn. On a typical day, he will bench press anywhere from 400 to 500 lbs. While he's been inspiring others in the gym for years, he's now reaching more people on the app TikTok. Videos of his workouts have gone viral.

Hundreds flee the flames as new Chuweah Creek Fire erupts in Okanogan County

VIDEO/PHOTOS: Hundreds of people are evacuating, including the entire town of Nespelem, after lightning sparked a wildfire in Okanogan County overnight, officials said. The explosive wildfire is located about 15 miles north of Coulee Dam on the Colville Indian Reservation, and is threatening homes, businesses, outbuildings and tribal facilities.

Fire destroys 2 ambulances in Sequim

VIDEO: A commercial structure fire destroyed two ambulances and a building at Olympic Ambulance in Sequim early Tuesday morning. According to Clallam County Fire District 3, witnesses called 911 around 2:05 a.m. and said they saw an explosion and that an ambulance “was engulfed in flames.” An Olympic Ambulance supervisor went outside to investigate and discovered one of their ambulances was on fire, and the flames had spread to the building.

Fire Officials: Don't fly drones over the Burbank Fire in Yakima County

Fire officials are asking people not to fly drones over the Burbank Fire burning northeast of Yakima because it could prevent firefighters from gaining access to the fire. "Our biggest issue here is we need people with drones to keep their drones away from the fire area," said Nancy Jones, public information officer with the Southeast Washington Interagency Incident Management Team 3.

Volunteers Led Initial Attack on Mineral Fire in Lewis County

Fire crews are still working to extinguish a 40-acre fire that broke out in the hills above Mineral Friday afternoon. The fire was 50 percent contained as of Monday afternoon, according to the state Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Volunteer firefighters with Mineral Fire and EMS were the first on the scene and took the lead in fighting the fire, with help from fire crews from Lewis County Fire District 4, of Morton, until DNR could mobilize and take over Friday night.
