Pennsylvania Firefighters Get Cooking Lesson From Rachel Ray on International Firefighters Day

VIDEO: Tuesday, May 4th is International Firefighters Day, a day to honor firefighters for their service, including our own. And some members of the Erie Fire Department got a special treat Tuesday night, a virtual cooking lesson from celebrity cook, Rachel Ray! Rachel Ray is on the board of the Leary Firefighters Foundation, which gives grants to fire departments across the nation for life-saving equipment.

Person with garden hose spotted trying to help crews take down Los Angeles fire

VIDEO: As crews worked to take down a large fire in South Los Angeles, a person with a garden hose was spotted trying to help the firefighters out. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to what was initially a literal dumpster fire in the 100 block of West 75th Street in Los Angeles Tuesday evening.

Connecticut father, daughter attend fire school together to become certified firefighters

VIDEO: Some coworkers are like family, but there are two firefighters in Canton that are actually related. In honor of International Firefighters Day, Channel 3 is introducing you to a father and daughter who took bonding to new heights and fighting fires is part of their day to day. “I started off as an EMT about 14 years ago, and a year and a half or so ago, I looked at our ranks and saw we needed some help on the fire side,” said Gerry Holland.

Seattle tells homeless campers to clear out after double shooting, fire at Lake City park

VIDEO: It’s been a troubling past week at Albert Davis Park in Seattle’s Lake City neighborhood. Two people were shot at a homeless encampment on Thursday. Then Friday, a series of propane explosions led to a fire at the park, burning up a tree and several tents. The city of Seattle stated the fire department has responded to the park six times over the course of a single week.

Governor Inslee: No New COVID-19 Restrictions in Washington for Now

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee on Tuesday said all of the state's counties will remain in their current phase of the state's economic reopening plan and won't face more restrictions because new COVID cases are levelling off after a recent spike. The Democrat said there will be a two-week pause as the state continues to evaluate coronavirus activity in the state.
