Some Del Mar Mesa (CA) Residents Oppose Proposed Fire Station

Some Del Mar Mesa residents are in opposition to a proposed new fire station onproperty that has been set aside as a habitat conservation, reports Del Mar Times.

The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department plans to build the new fire station to better serve the communities of Del Mar Mesa and Torrey Hills.

Local residents found out about the proposed station about a year ago and since then have tried to get involved in the city’s process but have been frustrated about the lack of communication.

A fire department spokesperson said the department is still “very, very early” in the process on the Del Mar Mesa station.
